Art Week Work

We have had a lot of enjoyment creating our art work for the Art Exhibition. We looked at the art work of the New Zealand artist Don Binney. We painted backgrounds in bands of colour from light to dark or dark to light with green and blue paint. Next with chalk we drew a native bird of our choice after looking at the style of Don Binney's native birds. Outside we observed native plants to add to our pictures. Finally we painted our art work. Come to the Exhibition to view our beautiful paintings.

  3. Great job everyone! I think all of your artwork is phenomenal! I really like the colours of your birds.
Well done to the people who chose to draw a bird flying, because I think the flying bird is more difficult to draw than the perching bird.
I am really enjoying this activity and I chose to draw a perching Fantail. It is my favourite native bird.
